Gopal Kanda claims innocence in suicide case

Refuting the charge that he had abetted the suicide of air hostess Geetika Sharma, former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda claimed he is innocent and had resigned to facilitate a "fair" probe. Kanda, who has not been taking calls, in a statement e-mailed to the media through a Mumbai-based agency dismissed allegations of his involvement as "concocted" and claimed Sharma's call records clearly proved that he had not spoken to her for the last two months.
