Government operations to evict squatters at Mau runs into the second day

As the purging of the Mau forest of invaders entered its second day the evictees now say they have been abandoned by the very leaders who have all along encouraged their presence in the Mau. the mau remains one of country's prized water catchment areas that has been dogged by evictions of persons whose presence in the forest has been attributed to the drying up of water sources down stream.
