I think I got very lucky spotting the same power twice in one day. Around lunchtime, I recorded and posted, "GP-9 Pulls The Local," and five hours later I catch him coming back! Near twilight, I caught the end of the short freight as I was crossing the line at North Avenue in Villa Park. I found the power down on Villa Avenue where I recorded a bunch of clips. This Local was switching cars at the plastics company that is located between Villa and Ardmore. I think the crew was coming back east and dropped some cars on the main west of that place. The now slightly shorter train had an easier time switching out hoppers (plastic chips?) into the small, but multiple track, industrial lead. The power rossed Villa Avenue, several times, and that's when I grabbed the clips. I got lucky again as I got ahead of him before he left Villa Park. I was waiting for him in Hillside, just west of Wolf Road. That's the same spot I saw him this morning.... Well, I didn't wait more than two minutes when the CN # 4028 came tearing down the tracks. ( My microphone picked up some nice wailing horn in the final few seconds of that last clip). See my Playlist for more videos at the same location. My archives are filled with a variety of power! Atw1productions added this... This is a GP-9. But technically its a EMD GP9RM. Built as CN 4526 in DEC of 1956 as a GP9. It was rebuilt June of 1984 as CN 4028 and was rebuilt as a EMD GP9RM.
