Greyhound Adoption

In April 2010, we adopted a retired racer named Dudley. He came to us shy, easily spooked, and submissive peeing after a life at the racetrack that had turned him into a scared, unhappy boy who didn't even know how to be a dog. We gave him love and patience and play and safety, and he doesn't even look like the same dog we adopted. Now, he smiles. Now, he's confident. Now, he runs for the joy of it. And he's brought us more happiness than we ever could have imagined. We changed his life, and he changed ours right back.
