GTX 1160M Release Date | 1m Next Gen Nvidia GPUs Ready to Ship & More

We have some Nvidia GTX 1100 series news today, as we have the GTX 1160M (a laptop/notebook GPU) release date, as well as rumblings that Nvidia have a staggering one million next generation graphics cards ready to ship. They are obviously expecting a huge demand for the Turing line of GPUs, and after all the hype and speculation, who can blame them? In less positive news, Micron have had their DRAM sales banned in China due to an on going patent war between them and Taiwan’s United Microelectronics Corp, AKA UMC. This is definitely concerning, as it could effect the already strained DRAM prices. Naturally, Micron have been feeling the corporate heat from this already, so the effects on the DRAM market long term are yet to be seen. Finally, we have some comments from AMD CEO Lisa Su, who spoke at the Taipei International Computer Show. She outlied an aggressive portfolio roadmap for both the CPU and GPU side of things.
