Gunnies: "Great American Western Wear" visit, Part 3

Ready to spend $3500 for a Sako TRG in .300 WM? Yeah me either. We take a look at some expensive bolt guns in the final Part 3. The 12 pound Savage 110BA might be a tad heavy in the .338 chambering and we could do without all the rails (on most guns actually) but we don't doubt its accuracy. But the Remington 700s off my favorite blend of value and capabilities on this rack and the 700 SPS AAC with it's 20" TE barrel is a favorite. Several .308 battle rifles make their way on screen and I still love the accuracy and reliability of the M1A series. I pay homage to SFC Randy Shughart here. We are not stoked to see the price increases on the guns though in the last few years. Opics mounting on the M!A (non-scout) continues to suck however. Then I raise the topic of good bear lever acton gun and that 7 lb Marlin 464 packs a wallop. I try to illuminate Bryan on the value of that new Mossberg lever gun while we're there. Somewhere along the way we found out about Bryan's choice of heist weapons (nice Winchester 1897 reference dude!) and the we're still kidding around. I make sure we hit that Sig 1911 counter and check out the selection. Bryan chooses the S&W 1911 E-Series and a Colt 1911 rail over all others there. Good choices. I talk about the Ruger 1911 and the still high value Taurus 1911. Time runs out and Allie and I gotta' book. A quick look at their fair prices on gun accessories wraps up the tour. Bryan gets the gold star for the great teamwork on the review and even Wyatt comes back to see us off. Time flew at Gunnies.
