Sensors, screens and camera’s are some of the key elements of our smart cities. By keeping track of our on- and offline movements, the citizens will benefit from the fact that these sensors and algorithms can create a divers personal profile. We are consciously sharing our needs and interest in the online world, but unconsciously we also participate in sharing our behavior in public space. Goverments and commercial authorities are able to combine these data collections to know their users by heart and easily adjust to the needs of every citizens by just one click. With these advanced data sets our daily tasks can be optimist, because of this practical benefit we are willing to adept and create a more efficient environment. At the same time this changes will call up some skeptical question about our own privacy and the value of it. The control over our own body visibility in public space is in the hands of the abstract digital world used by not only goverments but by everybody who has in interest in this information. An urge to take back our ownership of our body privacy will rise. Our face is one of the only things that still feels like a real identification of who we are as a human being. We need to be able to control the exposure of our own identity and have a choice in wherever we want to be visible or not. The feeling of being in control will have a positive out come on the well being of the citizens. It’s important that we as a human in the data driven world wont feel Irrelevant towards these elusive powers.
