Thanks to The Princesses' Round Dance from Petrushka by Igor Stravinsky ( 1882, in Oranienbaum (renamed Lomonosov in 1948), Russia, -- 1971,New York,USA, burried in Venice) was a Russian, Ukrainian, later naturalized French, and then naturalized American composer, pianist, and conductor of Ukrainian descent.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igor_Stravinsky The Stravinskys' roots (mother and father's) came from Ukraine.The father of the composer, Fedir (Fyodor) Stravinsky was born in Chernihiv province, he studied at Nizhyn Lyceum, debuted in Kyiv in 1873, and since 1876 he sang at Mariinsky Theatre. Many of Igor Stravinsky's works were written in Ukraine, and their sources were found in Ukrainian folklore. Paradise corner for his work Stravinsky called Ustiluh town near Vladimir-Volyn,West Ukraine. He came here to the family. Here he met his wife Catherine Nosenko. After marriage in 1906 Igor Stravinsky designed the project of his own house in Ustiluh.Together with his brother Huriy he laid Lipova alley which has brought joy to the visitors of the museum of the composer and music school students, located in his home. Every summer from 1907 to the First World War, the composer wrote his works in Ustyluh. Here Stravinsky wrote the first work - a fantasy for orchestra "Fireworks", which devoted a half months of hard work. In general, in Ustyluh he worked on the 17 works, including "Firebird," "Petrushka" and the widely known "Rite of Spring."
