Film, Photos, Recording by Derek Clark Saxophone & Music by © Tommy Smith If you have time, please consider subscribing to my free Youtube Channel, or share it with others who might benefit from the content, or if you're new here then there is lots of music from my quartet, SNJO, solo, duo, Arild Andersen Trio, etc., https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3hx2oHARfXhHedcWQPafkw?view_as=subscriber&fbclid=IwAR3VQDJfzxlE91hDHO2jiknxfuwqKwwZ2mWEa6-XqY1MF67SDtVtfYeu-H0 I first encountered this amazing building, as a tourist, in 1999. In the summertime, it is fairly warmish, but do take Scandinavian winter clothing if at another time of year. Finally, after a test run, I recorded my first solo recording, Into Silence, the year later in 2000, when I first started my own recording company. There's a great deal online written about the Hamilton Mausoleum so have a google, it's quite interesting! All I can say about the Hamilton Mausoleum is: "you need to leave a lot of space and the sound in there swirls around you like a free spirit, a Shinto god, a long-gone relative."
