Ханс Салеминк/Hans Salemink

Hans Salemink is a drama teacher and manager of the Kazou Theater. "For more than 30 years, I've been working with people with autism, most of the time at the Dr. Leo Kannerhuis. That's where I got a chance to play music and dance theater and explore music and drama as a means of treatment. This experience gave me the opportunity to make beautiful 'big' productions and performances, which allow people with autism show their amazing talents and capabilities. In addition, I have also been trained as a sports teacher which led me, among other things, to coach the Dutch Paralympic swim team. I was fortunate to guide these athletes through two Paralympic Games and various championships. In 2010, together with two of my colleagues we established Kazou Theatre Workshop. Since January 1, 2019, I’m the artistic leader and drama teacher. Our motto is “Just do, what can be done, and if we need to adapt, we would do it. But anything can happen, if you let it happen!"
