Happy Birthday, Romania!

December 1st, 2018 marked 100 years from The Great Union of Romania. Camp K was proud to host Romania's Great Union Centennial Festival this past summer, including a special concert by Alexandru Pugna, a beloved Romanian musician and State Secretary for Romania’s Ministry of Culture and National Identity. This was a unique privilege to honor those who dreamed together, Romanians and Americans, of a just and peaceful world, as well as to memorialize their friendship. More than 400 Romanians and Americans came together to celebrate one of the most important events in Romania’s history. In 1918, Romanians living across all three historic Principalities made a bold call for unity and proclaimed Romania a modern, democratic, and soverign nation. Music, dance, and positive energy enchanted all who attended. This was a memorable evening in Emigration Canyon at the beautiful Camp Kostopulos. We would like to thank everyone for joining in the event.
