Playing as Bulgaria:
At the beginning of the game , Bulgaria is the current hegemon over the Balkans, this however will not last forever. In every direction the player looks, there are rivals that want a piece of your land. To survive, your priority is to focus on your land forces, the backbone of the Bulgarian state and take a defensive position. The economy is your secondary objective without her you can't build the necessary defensive fortifications.
When the war starts you will have a coalition against you (Serbia,Greece & Iron Guard Romania). The priority of the player is to cause casualties to all three members of the coalition, extend the northern front with Romania and push into their territory. Once Romania is taken out of combat, send your troops to the western front. By pushing into Serbia you will either trigger the event of surrender or capitulate them. Greece will follow.
After the player defeats her neighbors , the player will be presented with the option to defeat the Ottoman Empire.
In this Gameplay video , things didn't go as planned. Usually Serbia invites Romania and Greece in the Belgrade alliance against Bulgaria. No matter if Romania goes down the focus tree for the referendum of Dobrudja, Greece declaring war for Macedonia or Serbia goes solo, the strategy is the same.
