Hidden and Dangerous 2 - Operation Snowball - First Strike

It's been absolutely ages since I last played this game, and so here's my first foray back into it. I was a bit shaky with the controls but overall I am happy with the way the first mission played out given I hadn't touched this in years. In this mission, my squad is infiltrating a compound which is reportedly hiding the entrance to an underground facility. As an aside, an allied fighter pilot was recently shot down over this area while supporting a recon plane; in the later instalment of this mission, he will be rescued. I chose a silenced Sten gun as my primary weapon, supported with Springfield rifle with optics for the long range stuff. Regrettably I didn't pack enough ammo for the rifle, having run out just as things were wrapping up at the compound above-ground, but I couldn't bring myself to discard it either seeing as these things are scarce! I figure once we enter the underground complex, I won't be needing the rifle anyway so it will stay over my shoulder in the meantime. Hidden and Dangerous is certainly a unique first person shooter and will always hold a special appeal to me. To me it conveys the realities and realism of squad combat really well. I didn't edit much out of this video. I think even the loading screens are great to look at and read. I think for the next missions though, I will turn off the music, as nice as it is! Note that I playing this in the highest possible resolution supported by the game, 1280 x 960, which incidentally is not widescreen.
