HIT AND MISS ENGINE OPERATION

HIT AND MISS ENGINE OPERATIONУ вашего броузера проблема в совместимости с HTML5
Have you ever wondered how a Hit-n-Miss engine cycle works? Well, this video provides a close-up operation of a miniature hit-n-miss governed bar-stock engine with what I have dubbed the "222"(2.22 cubic inch) designed and built by me, "popnstart". The way this works: 1. The spark plug fires the compressed fuel/air mixture in the cylinder, flywheels increase in speed along with governor weights. 2. The weights fly-out as a result of centrifugal force causing the pushrod latch to hold the exhaust valve open. 3. As the flywheels and governor weights slow down the springs(rubber bands, in this example and adjustable compression spring tension)that tend to keep the governor weights close together, override the centrifugal force causing the pushrod latch to move over, allowing the exhaust valve to close. 4. The intake valve spring, being weaker than the exhaust valve spring, will allow the intake valve to open as the piston creates a vacuum moving to the bottom of the cylinder bringing another charge of fuel/air mixture into the combustion chamber. 5. As the flywheels continue to rotate, the con rod pushes the piston to the top of the cylinder, compressing the fuel mixture for an eventual ignition by the spark plug. And the cycle begins again. Hope this brief explanation helped you understand what is happening in the video. Also, Zach demonstrates the various principles of a Planetary gear set. Thanks for watching and comments welcome. Later, RT.
