Holy Mackerel -- "To Put Up With You" (Reprise) 1968

Written by Paul Williams and Roger Nichols and produced by Richard Perry. From the original mono 45. A group featuring Paul who released one album and 4 singles on Reprise in the late 60s. The group also included Paul's brother, Mentor, who went on to write "Drift Away", recorded by both Narvel Felts and Dobie Gray in 1973. As good a song as "To Put Up With You" was, it was covered by the Sandpipers on their "Softly" album in 1968 and by the American Breed on their "Lonely Side Of The City" album, the same year. It also appeared as the b-side of the Sandpipers' "Come Saturday Morning" 45 in 1970. Paul released a version himself, also on Reprise in 1969.
