HORIZON ZERO DAWN ➳ 'OUR HERO' SHORT FILM

The story is set at the beginning of Aloy's adventure; when she was a child. Aloy tries to fit in with the other kids but can't figure out why she won't be accepted. The kids all poke fun at her and treat her differently, treating her like an 'outcast'. Running away Aloy meets her first machine creature, the 'Watcher'. The Watcher is stuck and in pain, it has lost a battle, much like Aloy. Befriending the Watcher, Rost kills it in front of her. Her new friend - destroyed by the hand of her guardian. Aloy runs away wishing to escape her existence and find herself. Aloy is not old enough to fight and her perspective has changed since she was a child. She is dubbed to be the savior of the world, to rid the world of machines and protect those in need.
