It monitors all the critical parameters of a car like engine speed, vehicle speed, throttle, brake, fuel level, etc. This is useful while accidents, for insurance companies and police to cross check these parameters and come to a conclusion on the cause of the accident, like was that a purposefully made one or a real accident. The black box (event data recorder) will be placed on a less impact area of the car like below the seat etc and it will be linked with the ECU of the car.
