How to: add a M.2 SSD to the ASUS N552VX notebook. Also available as N552VW. Our website: http://hddcaddy.com/en/ In this video we will add a M.2 SSD drive to the Asus N552VX via the unused M.2 slot, located on the motherboard. In total you can install three SSD's in the Asus N552; M.2 SSD slot, HDD bay and DVD bay (via HDD Caddy). Video cloning hard drive to SSD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aXAAfcKtq0 You'll need: -M.2 SSD (SATA & PCIe x4; NVMe and AHCI ) -An extra screw (same as the screw at the back of the optical drive) -Spudger or case opener -Philips 00 screwdriver Step 1. Unscrew all the screws at the bottom of the Asus N552 notebook Step 1a. Remove the DVD drive Step 1b. Remove the compartment cover Step 1c. Remove the hard drive Step 2. Jam the spudger gently between the bottom cover and the top cover. Note: begin at the two USB ports Step 3. Remove the bottom cover. Optional: disconnect the battery for safety reasons Step 4. Place the SSD in the M.2 slot Step 4a. Slide the SSD under the heat pipe Step 4b. Place the SSD carefully in the slot Step 4c. Push the SSD in the slot using the spudger Step 4d.
