Wax painted Easter eggs are a tradition of Central and Eastern Europe.
Over the years the designs have changed and I've found my own way to decorate the eggs.
I would prefer to use white egg shells however they are not available to buy here and so I use either paint in a spray (not a big fan due to the toxicity)
I've found acrylic markers that do the job with two-three coats (just like with the spray paint)

To paint on the eggs I use pottery decorating tools (Kemper USA KD) and pin (stuck on the end of a pencil for better hold.
Always hold the pin/tool in the hot wax long enough for it to get warm for easier transfer.
I use Crayola crayons as these hold the colour the best. And you can buy just white (if you're using a lot) unlike me before I found out I can buy a whole pack of white crayons I ended up with boxes of crayons just to use white *_*
