Learn easy steps to levitate a person or any object in your video with Wondershare Filmora Video Editor. Free Download: https://filmora.wondershare.com/video-editor/?utm_source=filmora_seo_channel&utm_medium=annotations&utm_campaign=Advanced_HowtomakethingsFloat Recommended Green Backdrop: http://amzn.to/2o7OB1Z Floating in the air, or so called levitation is an interesting concept that has often been played out both in photography and filmmaking. The most recent one you probably know is Birdman, this year’s Oscar award winner, in which the hero Riggman was first seen in his cluttered dressing room, levitating in his jockey shorts. Making things float like magic in your video is much easier than you ever imagine. The video editing technique we are talking about here, is called Green screen. In this tutorial, we will show you how you can easily make one such effect with the use of Wondershare Filmora. You will need: 1. A Camera 2. A Tripod 3. A piece of green sheet 4. And a bench To get started, we will need to shoot two video clips: the first with the actor and the second without the actor. We will use the second video clip as our background video later. Step1: Shoot your video footage Find a place with good natural lighting, set up the bench, and then cover the bench with the green sheet. Make sure the green sheet is made as smooth as possible because any shadows will affect your final video. Now let’s have the actor sit on the bench and start to perform. Then remove the bench and green sheet, keep the camera at exactly the same place and shoot our background video. Step2: Edit your video footage Now that we have captured our video footages, it’s time to import all the raw footages to Filmora for editing. If you haven’t downloaded this program yet, click the link in the description box below to visit the website: filmora.wondershare.com and hit the “Free Download” button. First, Launch Filmora, and enter Full Feature Mode. Import two videos to the media library in Filmora. Drag the second video clip, or the one without the actor to the video track on the timeline, and then drag the background video to the PIP track. Right click on it, choose “Green Screen” from the drop down menu to bring up a green screen editing window. Check “Make parts of this video transparent”, there you can choose to make the green color transparent so that the elements in the background video will show through. Making it like the actor is levitating in the air. As we can see from the preview window, the areas which haven’t been covered with green sheet in the first video won’t be removed and will still show upon our background video. If you don't need that part, simply click to enter the “Mask” tab here, choose a square mask to apply, and then adjust the width and height to remove unnecessary parts so that your background video could completely show through while still keeping the actor part perfectly being superimposed onto the background clip. There you go! Likewise, we can make any daily objects float like magic. Get a piece of green paper, then use it to wrap up a box. By using the same technique, we can levitate any objects easily! Now use your imagination and start making a magic levitation effect video on your own!
