How to recycle cardboard boxes this Christmas

If we laid out all the cardboard packaging used in UK households during the festive season, it would cover the return journey between London and Lapland over 100 times. Can you find another use for the box before recycling, such as using it to send a parcel to someone else? If not, please recycle them – just remove any plastic/polystyrene inserts and excess sticky tape first. If they’re too large for your recycling box break them down into manageable pieces first.
