How to remove bios administrator password from HP ProBook 640 G1

You need to contact HP support to receive a personal SMC.bin for your laptop, they'll need the serial number and UUID, still need to make a 2gb partition on your hard drive named HP_TOOLS and formatted with FAT32. Put the SMC.bin and an empty folder named HEWLETT-PACKARD in the partition. After that turn off the laptop and press as a combination (up + down + windows button) and turn it on and press f10 to boot into BIOS, if it's the correct SMC for the laptop it will bypass the admin password and reset to default to remove it. I'm not responsible if you ruin your laptop lol EDIT: HP no longer supplies the SMC.BIN, sorry.
