How to: Use iPhone 5 on metroPCS (The Easy Way)

iPhone 5 on MetroPCS network. Although MetroPCS does not officially sell iPhones, there is still a way to use iPhones on the network through the bring your own device (BYOD) program. In order for your iPhone to be able to be used on Metro, the phone needs to be: unlocked, not stolen, and have a clean IMEI/ESN number. 1. For Verizon Wireless (VZW) Customers: iPhone 5 is already unlocked and can be used on MetroPCS when a MetroPCS nano sim is purcharsed. (The sim card has to be new in order for the phone to be activated) 2. For AT&T Customers: iPhone 5 can be carrier unlocked after contacting AT&T. 3. For Sprint Customers: Sprint only unlocks iPhones for international carriers :( 4. For those looking to purchase an iPhone 5 to use on MetroPCS: These are credible websites to buy iPhones. Swappa phones are certified and ready for activation. On the other hand, with eBay iPhones, always contact the seller and ask for the IMEI number, and history of any repairs to the phone. PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Final Notes: Make sure the MetroPCS BYOD program is available in your area. iPhone must be: Factory Unlocked (by carrier) and have a clean IMEI.
