Like the last song that I posted this one is also from my archives. I recorded it sometime in the early 1990's.
I had the privlidge of seeing The Cathedrals live in Houston about the same time they recorded this song. The first time that I heard George Yonce sing this song it just took my breath away. After the concert I bought the cd from Ernie Haase. I must have played it a thousand times. I bought the backing track at a local book store but ended up not liking it.
In the end I used my Shure surround sound processor to remove the lead vocal from the original recording and used the resulting track for my recording. The process was not perfect. You can hear George's voice once in a while faintly in the background.
Again, like most of my recordings, this is far from perfect but I thought since I posted one song from my archives I may as well post more of them.
This song was written by Bev Lowry, the mother of Mark Lowry. Mrs. Lowry used to play the piano on the very stage that is in my picture above.
