iCD IPC-2581A/B Interface

Demonstration of the iCD Stackup Planner to IPC-2581A/B interface software (www.icd.com.au) IPC-2581 incorporates an extensive set of attributes to define precisely what PCB designers expect manufacturers to build. It will accelerate fabrication, assembly, and testing. This new interface is particularly useful for the import/export of Cadence Allegro and OrCAD v16+ stackup data. Currently Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro and OrCAD, Downstream Technologies CAM350 & Blueprint, Intercept Pantheon, Mentor Graphics, PADS & Xpediton, Polar Instruments and Zuken CR5000 and CR8000 have supported the IPC-2581 standard. The iCD Stackup Planner–IPC-2581 bi-directional interface allows the user to import stackup files from EDA tools that support the IPC-2581 format, edit the stackup and then export, together with the original board data back into IPC-2581 A & B format. Alternatively, you can start with the Stackup Planner and export this directly to IPC-2581 format.
