IC&E 6424 West, an SD40-2 Mini Snow Splat on 3-2-2014

A Canadian Pacific 473 train, with an IC&E SD40-2 leader, runs through a snow plow ridge after the previous evening's snowfall. The engines have a crusty coating of ice and snow on this 7F degree morning. The Chicago and Rockford areas experienced their third coldest winter on record. And even though it's now meteorological Spring, the cold and snow persists. I bashed through some waist deep snow drifts to set up my two GoPro cameras away from the grade crossing in order to catch the minor snow splat.
