Igor Oberman is a friend, a neighbor and a community activist who is running for City Council in Southern Brooklyn.
Igor and his family fled to the United States in 1981 as refugees from religious and ethnic persecution in the Soviet Union.
Igor's family settled in southern Brooklyn. His local upbringing and education played a significant role in fueling his passion to serve the people of this community. He went on study law and become a Judge who oversaw cases involving environmental protection and city health.
Igor is now running to become the next City Councilman for New York 48th District: Brighton Beach, Manhattan Beach, Sheepshead Bay, Homecrest and Midwood.
