Spec: CRI greater than 90, 2700K Never has so much comfortable warm white light been available from such a well priced LED bulb! All with the ability to dim! Dimensions: The shape is considered a sphere so G, or globe shaped. The sphere is a diameter of 9.6cm (3.77"), the E26 edison screw base is standard, and is a standard 2.4cm deep, when inserted to a socket there is about 0.6cm of clearance between the socket housing, and the sphere body of the bulb, the total tip to tip length of the bulb is therefore 9.6cm+3.0cm=12.6cm. The lower half of the sphere/bulb is the aluminum body of the bulb, and the top half of the sphere/bulb is the plastic diffuser, the LEDs are on a plate along the "equator", and face upwards(37 x LEDs, 0.67W each), the diffuser is standard, and fairly efficient. It's glued on with some silicone glue, and can be forced off. I've tested this bulb against other "warm white" and "soft white" LEDs, and the color output of this bulb has hit a sweet spot(it looks as close to incandescent as possible, I swap in a 150W incandescent and can't even tell the difference!), the color rendering is great(color rendering of incandescent is 100, it looks like this one is comparable!), and I would recommend this for use in everyone's homes. I use this in my home, and I bet anyone else who's picky about the color of lighting will want it in their home as well. This bulb makes the color of CFL's look poor, too red, or too yellow. Ikea has chosen the correct LED's for this, and I'm sure they're high quality and have a very small tolerance for the color, i.e.: very few steps of the MacAdam's Ellipses. There are 5 categories to look at when selecting an LED bulb, and this one scores high on all of them. 1 - Price ($18): 10/10 2 - Color Temperature (2700K): 10/10 3 - Light Output (1800 lm): 10/10 4 - Energy Consumption (22W): 10/10 5 - Bulb Life (25,000h): 10/10 6(Optional) - Dimmability: 9/10 (Does not have full range dimming, only to about 10%, most cannot dim to 1%. To get 1% dimming, you need to pay a premium) I have used Ikea CFL's mostly, and now I think I'll use their LED bulbs, as it bests GE, Philips, etc., in my opinion and experience for color and bulb life, even price. Enjoy! Cheers, David.
