Metropolitan Laurus Skurla (1928-2008) fell asleep in the Lord today. If it were not for his bravery and vision, the reconciliation between the Church in the rodina and the Church abroad would have never occurred. He passed away quietly, in his sleep. That was the way of it for this simple and unpretentious man. He would not desire fulsome eulogies or excessive grief.
