INDIEGOGO, Successful Campaigns and Crowdfunding with Marc Hofstatter

INDIEGOGO, crowd funding, and raising money for films is discussed with Marc Hofstatter, the Head of Film for the popular crowd funding website. The new Miles Davis biopic being made by Don Cheadle, and more tips for making your campaign successful are explored in this Insiders full length interview. GUEST BIO: A veteran of the film industry for fifteen years, Marc Hofstatter leads film and digital for global crowdfunding platform, Indiegogo. Originally from New York, he began his career at Bingham Ray’s indie film label, October Films. Hofstatter later transitioned to Los Angeles, moving to the William Morris Agency. He went on to serve as a production executive on both the Universal Pictures and 20th Century Fox lots. During that time he helped oversee production on such projects as Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist, A Single Man and The Golden Compass. Before arriving at Indiegogo, Hofstatter worked as an independent producer and collaborated with such filmmakers as Chris Weitz, Tom Ford, Peter Sollett, J. Michael Straczynski and Shari Berman & Robert Pulcini.
