Inihaw na Pusit (Grilled Squid) Ingredients: 1 Large Squid, washed and cleaned 1 thumb sized ginger, diced 1 med sized tomato, diced 1 small sized onion, minced 1 small sized lemongrass(tanglad) 2 pieces calamansi salt and pepper to taste Procedure: 1) In a bowl combine onion, ginger and tomato.Season with salt and pepper and squeeze 1 calamansi and mix it. 2) Season the squid with salt and pepper and squeeze 1 calamansi on squid 3) Stuff the mixture into the cavity of the squid and put the lemongrass inside the squid 4) Lightly grease the grill pan 5) When the pan is hot you can now grill the squid. Grill each side for 4 to 5 minutes. Note: Do not over cook Philippines is very abundant with squid. One of the Filipino favorite is grilled squid. This is very simple dish and very tasty especially when your squid is fresh. Sometimes salt and pepper is enough to make a grilled squid. Bt ofcourse we can make it yummier if we stuff onions, ginger, tomato and lemon grass then season it with lemon, salt and pepper. The aroma of the lemon grass helps remove the fishy smell of the squid. This recipe is the best when you have a small gathering in the beach or at your house.
