Vivariums need to circulate air around the tank in order to keep things healthy. It helps cool down or at least equal out the total temp in the tank, and lowers the chance of bateria grown due to stagnancy. Since tanks need to be kept at a specific humidity, fans cannot be used in general to pull air in and out of the tank, or risk drying out the tank. The plan in this video was to build a total of 9 50mm fans for internal circulation. Hey would have to be covered in netting so dart frogs could not be hurt by it. So it also needed enough padding between the netting and the fan blades. Also, the fan needed to be angled and mounted behind the spray from the misting system, while also blowing air at the front tank, to reduce condensation. By the end of the video I show you how to make the fan itself for about $3.55 plus the cost to glue it together.
