IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon: Indian Army’s Bishworjit Singh Saikhom emerges on top

Indian Army’s Bishworjit Singh Saikhom won the IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon held in goa by completing the course in 4 hours 24 minutes October 20. Saikhom became the first participant to complete the gruelling course, comprising of a 1.9 km swim, followed by 90 km of cycling and a 21 km run, in an impressive time of 4 hours 42 minutes 44 seconds. Meanwhile, India’s Nihal Baig and Mahesh Lourembam, pushed seasoned triathlete, Pablo Erat from Switzerland, to the fourth place in the overall ranking at the country's first-ever IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon.
