JAKIM: Statistics show that LGBT is #1 cause of HIV/AIDS spread in Malaysia

Citing statistics from the Health Ministry, Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) officer Dr. Izwan Md Yusof claims that the number one cause for the spread of HIV/AIDS in Malaysia is the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community. He says that the numbers show 65% of HIV infections are caused by homosexual and bisexual intercourse while 31% happen through heterosexual intercourse. He also said that in 2012, the main cause of the HIV/AIDS spread were drug addicts. However, this changed in 2014.
