Java Game For School (AP Computer Science)

*Sorry about the quality. It's the best I could get with ScreenSnapz* Metroid Smash is a game I made for my AP Computer Science class. In this video, I demonstrate all the features of my game and demo it. The entire game is made in pure Java bar an external api used for playing the background music .mp3 It took me a 100+ hours to research concepts and make this game; however, it was the first time I have ever attempted a game let alone a full-scale GUI program. Currently, I've just finished learning C++ and am doing research for developing a simple iPhone game (yet, another first!). Enjoy! We were required to use the Bluej IDE which is not the best IDE, but used widely for its' simple learning environment. Unfortunately, this was not even close to my first programming project and the Eclipse IDE is still my number one choice for any Java projects. Graphics for the game is mostly Nintendo sprites, but the menu screen graphics are all mine (besides the fonts and that little music symbol)
