I have loved both brands for quite a while and I thought I would put each to the test together! This video is about the product not the people behind them. They are human, they’re flawed, they make mistakes, they learn, they move on. But they both have a passion, which brings us all here today to positively review their shit. Mkayy? This is not a place for you negative Nancys, mkay? This is a house of positive energy. Price/ OZ: Jeffree: At .19 FL OZ run $18 + at least $5.95 in shipping making each lipstick about $0.95 per .01 ounce before shipping. I bought my Kat Lippies at Sephora, which ran me $20 for .22 FL OZ, making it $0.91 cents per .01 ounce! Though you’re paying at least $2 more for Kat’s, hers is still cheaper in the end. Packaging: Kat’s is very…Kat. It’s dark and gothic with no color except for the shade sticker on the end. I think this is perfect for her because the only color she usually has is one pop of color on her lips. Jeffree’s is very…Jeffree. It’s bright, it’s loud, and it’s shiny and full of personality. And if you open one end up you can hear his $300,000 car driving over my honda. Tube: These are both banging for different reasons. Kat’s is SUPER slip and compact, it’s like the size of a pen, I’d never know there was actually more product in this than Jeffree’s. I love how the lid is black matte with silver; that is VERY chic and awesome quality. Jeffree’s is more of a piece of artwork to me; I love how you can see through the tube and it still looks like a bullet lipstick even though it’s a liquid. There are awesome subtle touches like the clear plastic on the top and bottom, I just love that. But this one is definitely less compact. Applicator: Kat’s is just a basic doe foot applicator, absolutely nothing special about it. The tube on it is white, but I love that it’s so long and the handle is so thin…it’s almost like a makeup brush for me. I like it. Jeffree’s is short, but the tip of the applicator has a nice point on it for precise detail. I also really like that the tube is clear, I don’t know why I like that, it’s just pretty and glamorous. Fragrance: To me Kat’s kind of smells like buttered popcorn. I don’t really like it. Not doing it for me. Jeffree’s has a very faint cosmetic smell, I really appreciate that he didn’t add a fragrance, I personally HATE cosmetics with a strong fragrance. Color: For color, obviously I chose bold colors so that you all could see them. The bolder colors can be harder to formulate into having lots of pigmentation. I do actually have a few of each but I’m saving them for videos that I’m going to be filming after this. So I picked my favorite ones which are Kat’s A go-go and Jeffree’s Dominatrix. If you saw my fake Ass Jeffree Lipstick video you’ll know that Dominatrix was my absolute favorite.
