In a world of surgical implants, artificial limbs and tattooed flesh, a disturbed young woman dreams of the perfect body. However Sophie's self-image is at odds with society's preconceptions and only the amputation of her left arm will fulfil her desire. In desperation, she seeks assistance from the medical profession. As the procedure is illegal, horrified surgeons dismiss her request.
