Justin told Clash QUOTE: “I made mistakes. Part of being a man is owning up to that.” The magazine focuses on Justin reflecting about the success of his album ‘purpose’ as well as his relationship with god AND forming new friendships… However the mag played cool not giving too much info, seeing that they want us all to go and it get a copy of our own… And with they cover, it’s safe to say we just might! Mirror on the hand isn’t keeping quite as quiet… In an exclusive interview with Justin, they learned a lot about his past and where he’s standing now. Justin revealed QUOTE: “I got so involved in ‘me me me’. You’re young, people are telling you you’re great all the time and you start believing it. It became Justin Bieber, reality star, rather than the musician. He continued by saying: “I just found myself in a place I didn’t want to be…” That ‘place’ he was in, was seemingly a phase though seeing that the Justin we know today is much different. He re-affirmed his belief in god, released a killer album AND has been staying out of scandalous tabloids. Justin admits he is still a work in progress, saying QUOTE: “There’s so much I need to work on. And I’m still getting days where I’m depressed and upset. But I know that I’m not where I used to be. So that really keeps me motivated¬. I’m not where I wanna be. That’s kind of a cool little slogan I’ve been living by.” On Fans worshiping the ground Justin walks on, Justin’s advising fans to not look to him for any life solutions saying QUOTE: “I would really suggest to people, ‘Don’t put your faith in me’. Because I’m gonna disappoint you every time. “Yeah. It’s scary. But I want them to know that I’m not going to be able to solve their problems… I’m not that higher power. “I’ll never be. I’m not perfect. I’ve made so many mistakes. I just want to get to a place where… I just want people to know humans aren’t meant to be worshipped.” It’s for sure gotta be a hard position to be in, because on one hand fans worshiping him is the reason for his success, but there also needs to be a line in which they are fans, not treating him like a higher power… Justin also talks about how he was trying to love everyone and forgot to love himself in the proccess, saying he’s learned a lot.
