kayak outriggers

this is my kayak outrigger system that folds away or its easily removable for time when you just want to paddle regular. Im making my own sailing system and these are the outriggers that i made. the float tubes are made with 3 in thinwall pvc and can be left empty with screw on caps for storage of filled with flotation foam. the swinging brackets are the type used for marine antennas and have threaded ends. My outrigger supports are 1 1/4 thick wall pvc with round wooden shafts for added strength. the bolts are 1/4 20 bolts and the backing plates right now are 1/4 in fender washers but im thinking something like a 1/4 in piece of some kind of poly-plastic material would be best.
