UPDATE (May 2013): This tune is included in the first volume of sheetmusic I transcribed from the New Tune a Day project. For information and to download, go to http://newtuneaday.blogspot.com/2013/05/new-tune-day-volume-1-sheet-music.html. I'm learning a new tune everyday. Today I was eavesdropping on some discussions over at http://tradconnect.com where people were extolling the beauty of this jig. I figured I'd better learn it. I don't know how to pronounce it, and I've gotten corrected before here on youtube, so if I'm saying it wrong let me know. (But I won't re-record it. Sorry.) I learned this from a youtube video of the fiddler Dònal O'Connor playing it with the piper John McSherry in a set of jigs. His version is very fun and athletic. According to thesession.org, this tune goes by a bunch of names: Cill Abhail, Kilavel, The Killavel, Killavil, The Killavil, The Killavill, The Killaville, The Killavol, Road To Killavil, The Road To Killavil, The Road To Killvail, The Trip To Kilavil, Trip To Killavel, The Trip To Killavel, The Trip To Killavil, The Trip To Killavill.
