Krajina - Croat Refugees Return To Drnis

T/I: 11:01:57 On Wednesday (9/8), four days after the fall of Knin, the first Serb refugees were formally allowed to go back to their homes in former Serb-held Krajina. Most of them visited their houses to see what was left before deciding to return permanently. Jerka Kecic was in tears as she returned to the house she had lived in. Even the front door was replaced by a makeshift door. The head teacher of the primary school was furious that his school had been used as a latrine. The library had been completely destroyed. Most of the books had been burned.
