Lada Granta is nowadays the most popular Russian car in Russia. It is produced by AutoVAZ, the biggest Russian car maker. This is a low-cost front-wheel drive car. The name Granta was selected out of thousands of the names which people from all over Russia was sending to the car maker in a frames of competition. Lada Granta is available in three types – sedan, sport and hatchback. Later, hatchback was modernized to liftback. So now it’s sedan, sport and liftback. Lada Granta have 8-valve and 16-valve injector engine. The horse power vary from 98hp to 116hp (depend on engine). Engine volume is 1.6 liters. The volume of trunk is about 500 liters. The size of salon is comfortable enough. The windows of front doors is wide enough as well and give a good field of view. Panel of indicators is pretty standard – speedometer, tachometer, digital indicators (all-time mileage, daily mileage, clocks, engine temperature, average fuel consumption). Steering wheel is on the electric power. It has a minimal vertical adjustment and airbag. Build-in audio system with radio receiver, USB-port, SD card port and Bluetooth. Heater and fan panel. Air-conditional is also available as additional option. As a rule for a low-cost car, the plastic is cheap. Lada Granta is available as in a manual 5-speed transmission, as in an automatic 4-speed transmission, provided by Japanese company, Jatco. Armrest for elbow is available as an additional option only, as well.
