Lady Griz Basketball: The Traditions Rob Selvig Built

Slideshow which was played, during the Rob Selvig Retirement Party, October 2016. The slideshow shows around 700 photos of the 1400 collected from players, archives and University of Montana. There is no audio. 38 years Rob Selvig coached the University of Montana Lady Griz Basketball team. He won 865 times, 36 out of 38 years his teams held winning seasons, 31 times his teams collected 20 win seasons, 24 Big Sky Championship, 21 NCAA appearances and 21 Coach of the Year awards. Dahlberg Arena/Adams Center was turned into a place which visiting teams met record setting crowds. The most impressive aspect of his career was the strong bond he developed with the 143 players he coached/mentored. October 2016, 112 players surprised Rob with a party. Players from all 4 decades came together, from all over the country and shared memories, stories, reconnected with teammates, met new friends and laughed while we roasted Rob with Robisms. Thank you Rob, for choosing us, coaching us, believing in us, pushing us to greatness, for the friendships. Most of all, thank you for creating the Lady Griz family, which will continue to grow.
