LaGuardia Accident: Delta Jet Skids Off Runway, Minor Injuries

March 5 -- Patrick Foye, executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, speaks at a news conference about a Delta Air Lines Inc. plane that skidded off a runway at LaGuardia Airport, closing the facility as ice and windblown snow shut down businesses and government offices from New York to Washington. The MD88 aircraft was evacuated after the incident, which occurred about 11 a.m. local time, according to a news release from the airline. Gail Grimmett of Delta also speaks.
