This is one of my favorite places to go in Ohio. It's in the Mohican forest, and when you're there you feel like you've stepped back in time. The buildings look sort of antique, but they aren't. But it all fits nicely into the landscape, and whether or not you like the architecture (I do) there's a lovely feeling of being deep in an old forest.
Food is pretty good, too. As you eat, you can watch deer and wild turkeys grazing just outside the windows. On the video, you can hear the turkey calls.
It's not easy to find, and a lot of people I've talked to don't know it exists. It is on highway 3, south of Loudonville, near a barely-there town with the delightful name of Jelloway.
I've not stayed in the suites--quite beyond our budget--but I hear they're nice.
By the way, I have no financial interest in the place; I just like it. I hope the people who own it don't mind my putting up some free advertising.
