Landscape Photography | What was I thinking! FAIL - Rip me to pieces !

It can be a vicious circle . From the moment you poke your head out of the window you're not feeling it but you carry on, thinking that it'll be alright . You arrive on location & that magical feeling just doesn't happen as you watch dawn break & the scene unfolds in-front you . You take a few shots that may work & move on . State of mind is key with photography . You've got to FEEL the scene , lose yourself in the moment . If you don't , it can become hard work , everything that normally flows naturally flies out of the window & you start to struggle . You try harder , you try everything in the bag to get THE image , change viewpoint, add filters, reduce shutter speed, up the iso , alter the aperture . That's when the problems start . You try harder , you force yourself to keep trying , certain there's an image to be had , adamant that failure is not an option . It's at that point you need to learn to stop , take a step back, put the camera away & admire the views .
