Shasta Forest Products said since the drought, its sales have jumped in decorative bark, rocks, and other alternatives for landscapes instead of dying grass. "Our sales have increased dramatically this year over the last couple of years because of the drought situation that we're in," Shasta Forest Products President Richard Conroy said. Shasta Forest Products is the only business of its kind in Siskiyou County. The closest similar business is in Redding, California, and some agreed that sales on decorative rocks and bark have increased.
