I chose the 850 EVO because I was able to obtain it for a good price and it has a very good track record (based on my own experience and based on reviews). But remember to always shop around and use the hard drive that best suits your needs. Either way, the performance increase was enormous for this particular laptop using the Samsung 850 EVO.
