Lawrence Springborg shouldn't be making this ad

A response to the fear mongering and stigmatising Queensland government HIV prevention advertisement. Depicting people with HIV as failures, and HIV itself as shameful, won't prevent HIV infections in Queensland. What it will do is generate stigma, discourage testing, discourage disclosure and drive HIV infections up, not down. The Queensland government should put HIV prevention back in the hands of the community, and professional community based organisations that are capable of producing meaningful, sensitive health promotion messages that actually work.
