Leominster: Long-Abandoned Otis Man-Powered Elevator @ Whitney Field

We come across an abandoned Otis Man-Powered Elevator, in what used to be Whitney Field, Leominster, Massachusetts. This may have been installed during the beginning of the recreation area's days, in the late 1930's, and has served it well intil the early 1960's, when vandals caused enough damage to the field, they shut it down, and let nature take over, until the mall was built, starting with some department stores in the late 60's, and the mall in 1972. Nature did it's thing to this MPE, and it no longer works. There are some pieces of the Guiderail System still here, in part, and one piece as a whole at the top of 6'th Street. This appeared to be a failry basic Otis.
